4-Wire resistive touch screens are the preferred choice for low cost applications.
How it works
It consists of a conductive bottom layer (ITO Glass or Film) and a conductive top layer (ITO Film). The two layers are suspended apart by many tiny clear spacer dots. When the top ITO Film layer is touched contact is made with the bottom layer and a voltage charged by the touch controller is applied to the bottom layer’s electrodes. The X coordinate of the touch point is detected by measuring the voltage through the top ITO layer and the Y coordinate of the touch point can be measured in the same way by the changing voltage input of the bottom ITO layer.

Highlights & Benefits
- Large range of sizes 2.8” diagonal through to 21.0” diagonal incorporating all the popular display sizes in between.
- Input flexibility – Finger (gloved or un-gloved), stylus, pen, credit card (any non-sharp pointing device).
- FPC tail technology surpasses those of our competitors.
- FPC has lower resistance and is more flexible than PET or ITO film used by our competitors.
- Excellent optical performance even with anti-glare hard coating.
- Smallest spacer dots (0.035mm) in the industry.
- Haze < 6% (best optical performance in the industry).
- Various choices of surface treatments – Anti-Newton Ring, Anti-Glare, Special Chemical Hard Coating for improved performance in hostile environments.
- Controller Boards for Serial RS-232C and USB interfaces including full cabling connections and windows driver software.
