V-Series TFT LCD
An intense focus on the industrial, instrumentation, hand-held, medical and other low to medium volume markets makes Kyocera unique among liquid crystal display manufacturers. Whilst the competition chases the glamorous high volume markets, Kyocera is developing the products and infrastructure to satisfy these more stable, performance-orientated markets.
Kyocera first introduced their TFT panels in 2003. The first was a Transmissive 5.7″ QVGA product that is still a key size today; 3.5″, 4.3″, 6.2″, 7.0″, 7.5″, 8.4″, 8.5″, 10.4″ and 12.1″ TFT models have now been added to complete the range. There are now many variations in these traditional sizes including Transflective versions for direct sunlight viewing applications, White LED backlighting as standard, factory fitted 4-Wire Resistive touch, film/glass technology plus the latest glass/glass technology which offers excellent optical and environmental attributes.
Kyocera´s business philosophy, product selection, quality and long term supply commitment have cemented its position as one of the leading suppliers for small to medium markets where benchmark performance at competitive pricing is a must.
Display Features
Currently, the 5.7″ (14cm) diagonal, QVGA size is the de facto standard for a large majority of industrial applications. Kyocera´s 5.7″ TFT can be supplied in both QVGA and full VGA with the exact same mechanical footprint making these panels ideal for either a family of products or a future upgrade. Both QVGA and VGA versions can be supplied with high brightness LED backlighting, factory fitted 4-Wire resistive touch, film/glass or glass/glass plus the VGA version can also be supplied in transmissive and transflective technologies.
TL-Series TFT LCD
When space and weight are key issues in your design, Kyocera´s TL (Thin & Light) Series which are one some of the thinnest and lightest displays on the market today may provide a solution for you. At over 50% slimmer and lighter than the standard V-Series TFT products, Kyocera have once again pushed the boundaries in LCD technology whilst still not compromising on performance.
