Jan 2008
The winter 2008 exhibition season is fast approaching and during January we will be exhibiting at the gaming show "ICE 2008" with our South Korean industrial monitor partner, GTT.  The show runs from the 22nd to the 24th of January and is at the Earls Court II venue in London.  This will be our first year at ICE although we did exhibit last year at the sister show ATEI which ran alongside ICE.  With our success at ATEI we decided to build on this and continue to improve our exposure within the gaming hardware market and move to the ICE show which is aimed more at the component hardware category.  So whether you are in the gaming field or would just like to take the opportunity to look at the latest flat screen monitors and touch monitors why not come a long to stand #3266 and chat to the engineers.

Following on from ICE we will then be moving to the "Display Technology" show which is part of the "IPOT" event at the NEC in Birmingham on the 13th and14th of February.  This event encompasses all display related products so is the prime event to come along to if you have a display requirement coming up in your next project. So come along to stand #2206 to view some of the latest displays in both colour and monochrome and chat to the engineers on hand.

Craft Data will celebrate 25 years in the display and thermal printing field.

Craft Data was established in October 1982 to market electronic displays and thermal printing products.  The Mitani Company Ltd. being our first franchise offering gas plasma displays and thermal printheads.

Over these past years we have concentrated on these core product lines adding both monochrome and colour LCD and their peripheral devices like touch systems from all the major technologies and a wide range of open and closed frame industrial LCD monitors.

In 1983, associate companies Craft Data GMBH were established in Germany and Scancraft Data AB in Sweden, long before “Pan European” became fashionable.

Throughout these past 25 years and certainly as far as we can see into the future, we will offer our services and experience in the areas we really know – displays, touch systems and thermal printing products and look forward to serving you, our customers for the next 25 years.

Fred Tagg – Managing Director

Craft Data will be exhibiting their range of displays and thermal printers at the “Instrumentation & Display Technology” exhibition at the Madejski Stadium in Reading on the 3rd and 4th of October 2007.  Why not come along and chat to the engineers on stand #512 about your next project.

June 2007
Craft Data are pleased to introduce the new 5.7” VGA Transflective Colour TFT with white LED backlighting from its partner Kyocera.  The THG057VGLAC-G00 is aimed at portable or low power applications where power consumption and battery life are key issues.  With the LCD also being a transflective type further power savings can be made by turning the backlight completely off when using the display in high ambient light conditions.  This new 5.7” display encompasses all the same features as the existing 5.7” V-Series range and will be a valuable addition to Kyocera’s current 5.7” line up.

April 2007
Craft Data achieve phenomenal sales growth during 2006 and 2007 for Kyocera’s LCD group and are awarded “Rising Star Award – 2007”.

The picture shows David Tagg of Craft Data being congratulated by Tom Barnes of KFL, Walter Bock of KFG and Mr Matsumura of Head of Kyocera Japan, LCD Division.
